Product Engineer
Role Summary
Product Engineer on the Calibre platform focused on digital design and chip finishing. Work with customers, design teams, CAD teams, and internal stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize releases, and deliver features.
Position involves customer support, feature testing and deployment, release coordination across engineering/QA/documentation/field teams, and up to 25% travel. Telecommuting is permitted from a commutable distance.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Employer specifies approximately 24 months of relevant Product Engineer experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining product requirements, managing releases, and supporting customers and field teams.
- Facilitate discussions with users, design teams, and CAD teams to capture requirements.
- Define and prioritize release contents and schedules; manage release priorities.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, documentation, field teams, and external partners to develop and ship features.
- Build test cases for engineering implementation and validation.
- Support and troubleshoot customer design and EDA tool issues; deploy updates into customer flows.
- Prepare technical and marketing materials and deliver product presentations and demos.
- Identify gaps in tools and infrastructure and propose improvement projects.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant experience.
- Approximately 24 months of relevant Product Engineer experience (as stated by employer).
- Experience with physical design and verification flow from RTL to GDS.
- Experience with place-and-route tools on advanced process nodes (for example N3, N5).
- Proven experience supporting and debugging design or EDA tool issues reported by customers.
- Proficiency scripting in TCL or Python.
- Experience testing and deploying new features added to EDA design tools into customer design flows.
- Experience delivering product presentations or demos to field teams.
Education Requirements
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The employer also specifies ~24 months of experience in the role offered or a related Product Engineer occupation.
