Role Summary

The Product Engineer is the primary engineering interface responsible for securing product requirements and delivering validation, characterization and qualification for new product introductions (NPI) and industrial transfer projects at internal and external manufacturing sites.

Works within cross-functional project teams to ensure product release quality, technical correctness and timely execution.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead product validation, characterization and qualification efforts; ensure completeness and correctness of data and conclusions.
• Develop and own product characterization and validation plans and the product validation report.
• Ensure technical content and quality of product release documentation.
• Archive characterization/test data and related documentation correctly.
• Execute tasks per project planning and identify solutions to keep schedules on track.
• Participate in NPI, front-end and back-end transfers, and other industrial projects; report status to project leaders and resource managers.
• Provide technical solutions for product-related issues and guide product qualification activities.
• Participate in risk assessments (FMEA), problem-solving teams (8D), peer and gate reviews, and device specification reviews.
• Drive improvements in validation/characterization efficiency and product quality; mentor peers in site TPE teams.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Proven experience in product validation, characterization, and qualification for semiconductor products or similar hardware.
• Ability to produce clear validation plans and reports and to maintain proper test/char data archives.
• Familiarity with NPI and manufacturing transfer processes and project reporting.
• Strong statistical skills and ability to apply analytical, pragmatic approaches.
• Good problem-solving skills (experience with FMEA and 8D-style investigations) and decision-making under schedule pressure.
• Good communication skills in English; able to work collaboratively in project teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience reviewing device specifications and guiding qualification across sites.
• Experience mentoring or steering peers within test/product engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics.
