Product Development & Test Engineer, Mixed Signal IC

Role Summary

Join Product and Test Engineering (PTE) to develop test solutions for silicon validation, characterization, and manufacturing enablement of Qualcomm SOC products. Work closely with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing teams to deliver validated test programs and analytics.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Preferred: 1+ years of experience in semiconductor product/test engineering, test development, or process integration. No explicit minimum years required.

Responsibilities

Deliver test solutions and data-driven analysis to validate mixed-signal ICs and support volume manufacturing.

  • Review IP and test requirements with design teams.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain ATE test programs and test methods.
  • Execute silicon validation and characterization activities.
  • Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting using Python scripting.
  • Perform root-cause analysis using statistical and data-driven techniques.
  • Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, source meters, spectrum analyzers) for measurements and debug.
  • Collaborate across design, DFT, process, product, and manufacturing groups to enable production readiness.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies; preferred items noted separately.

  • Practical knowledge of semiconductor testing concepts and test program development.
  • Experience with mixed-signal IC measurement techniques (ADC, DAC, PLL, LDO) and circuit analysis.
  • Comfortable using lab instrumentation for measurement and debug.
  • Familiar with Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and basic automation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: 1+ years in semiconductor product/test engineering, test development, or process integration.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Acceptable fields explicitly mentioned include Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Data Science, or related technical disciplines.
