Product Development & Test Engineer, Mixed Signal IC
Role Summary
Work on product test and manufacturing enablement for mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) products. Deliver test solutions for silicon validation, characterization, and production by developing ATE code, test methods, data analysis and automation.
The role collaborates closely with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing teams to validate silicon and enable manufacturing.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Preferred: 1+ years of experience in semiconductor product/test engineering or process integration.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test development, validation, automation, and data-driven root-cause analysis.
- Review IP and test requirements with design engineers.
- Develop and validate test programs and methods on silicon, including ATE code.
- Create automation and data pipelines using Python for extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Perform data analysis and implement statistical/analytics solutions for root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing teams during NPI and manufacturing enablement.

- Must-have: Semiconductor domain knowledge and testing concepts applicable to silicon validation and manufacturing decisions.
- Must-have: Ability to develop ATE test code and validate test programs with silicon.
- Must-have: Basic proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and reporting.
- Must-have: Familiarity using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, source meters, and spectrum analyzers; comfortable in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
- Must-have: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: Working knowledge of mixed-signal IC measurement techniques (ADC, DAC, PLL, LDO) and power-management circuit analysis.
- Nice-to-have: 1+ years experience as a semiconductor product/test engineer or in process integration.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
