Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

As a Product Development Engineer on the Operations Engineering team in Hsinchu, you will transfer GPU and board designs into mass production by developing manufacturing test processes, driving NPI bring-up, and improving yield, test coverage, and production efficiency.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with design, foundry, quality, and test teams to ensure smooth production ramps at worldwide manufacturing sites.

Entry-level / Early Career β€” requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architect, design, and implement manufacturing test processes for GPU chips and assembled boards.
  • Identify and apply test methods to improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, coverage, and capacity.
  • Analyze product yield limiters and lead cross-functional failure resolution on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Define product test requirements and drive NPI bring-up, validation, and characterization for production ramps.
  • Optimize test coverage across test and supply chains to reduce cost and production waste; correlate customer field failures with production data.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

  • Experience in post-silicon characterization, correlation, qualification, and debug.
  • Knowledge of ATE testing, DFT methodology, and CMOS device physics.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills; methodical problem solving and attention to detail.
  • High ownership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DFT insertion techniques (SCAN, ATPG, MBIST, IOBIST).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (O+/JMP) and scripting (Python, Java) or similar.
  • Experience with ATE test programs, test systems and hardware (e.g., 93K, Uflex) and failure diagnosis/isolation tools.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field; plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
