Product Development Engineer
Role Summary
Join AMD's Data Center Graphics (DCG) New Product Introduction (NPI) test engineering team in Hsinchu. The role leads development of ATE test solutions for new SOC products to meet NPI milestones and KPIs (test time, yield, cost, quality).
Work cross-functionally with design, product & test engineering, quality & reliability, and software/platform teams to deliver test coverage, characterization, and production readiness.

Responsibilities
Accountable for end-to-end ATE test solution development from pre-silicon scoping through production enablement.
- Develop and optimize test patterns, flows, and methodologies to meet NPI milestones and KPIs.
- Lead pre-silicon engagement for test methodology scoping, planning, and validation.
- Post-silicon bring-up, characterization, debug, and optimization for mass production.
- Execute characterization, analyze results, and drive closure of production issues.
- Optimize test coverage, yield, quality, and reduce test time and cost.
- Influence technical decisions and lead test solution initiatives; may provide technical supervision or mentoring of junior engineers.
Requirements
Core technical and leadership capabilities required; preferred items listed separately.
- Proficient understanding of DFT (design-for-test) architecture for SOC products.
- Strong test development and silicon characterization/debug experience on industry-standard ATE platforms.
- Hands-on ATE test execution and pattern/method development experience.
- Data analysis skills for characterization and yield analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to work with distributed engineering teams.
Preferred / nice-to-have:
- Experience with Advantest V93K (preferred); SMT8 is a plus.
- Power and performance characterization on ATE.
- Software/scripting proficiency (Python, C++, Java, Groovy, Perl, Ruby).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable discipline. The posting specifies BS/MS academic credentials (comparable technical disciplines accepted).
