Product Definition / Systems Engineer — Power Path ICs
Role Summary
The Product Definition/Systems Engineer defines specifications and roadmaps for power path devices (ideal diodes, load switches, eFuses, hot-swap controllers) for automotive, industrial, and server markets. Works with R&D, marketing, and customers to translate system and customer needs into IC requirements and to bring products from concept to production.
Experience Level
Mid-level (3+ years): 3+ years in applications, systems, or product definition engineering.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze market trends and customer requirements across automotive, industrial, and server applications.
- Define product requirements, customer-specific requirements, datasheet parameters, and design targets.
- Serve as technical interface between customers and internal teams (R&D, marketing, manufacturing).
- Perform competitive benchmarking on performance, cost, and features.
- Own product roadmap and new product introduction (NPI) pipeline.
- Create business cases and ROI analyses and own results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.
- Train marketing and field applications teams to support assigned portfolio.

- Must: Practical experience with power ICs such as load switches, eFuses, ideal diodes, and hot-swap controllers.
- Must: Knowledge of automotive, industrial, or server power systems and their application requirements.
- Must: Ability to translate system requirements into IC specifications and datasheet parameters.
- Must: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with product roadmapping, NPI processes, and competitive benchmarking.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
