Processor Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify functionality, performance, and power characteristics of high-performance, low-power Hexagon DSP/NPU cores and associated subsystems. Work with architects, designers, and customers to develop and execute verification plans and environments for processor cores integrated into SOCs.

Entry or Early Career β typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience in digital design or processor verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification for units or subsystems and cross-team collaboration.
- Develop and maintain unit/subsystem verification environments through all verification stages.
- Design and implement verification plans and environments to validate function, performance, and power.
- Execute verification strategies using modern methodologies and tools; debug failures and close coverage.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, implementation, and customer integration teams to resolve verification and integration issues.
- Support customer integration and system-level verification of delivered core IP in larger SOCs.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate relevant techniques to improve verification effectiveness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years of experience in digital design verification or high-performance microprocessor verification.
- Detailed understanding of SystemVerilog testbench verification environments.
- Strong programming skills, with an emphasis on object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing and running verification environments and tests, debugging failures, and improving coverage.
- Nice-to-have: processor verification experience, familiarity with cache, memory coherency, interconnects, bus protocols, and processor integration.
Education Requirements
Degree required: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is standard. Alternatives listed by employer: Master's in a related field (may permit reduced experience requirement) or PhD in a related field. The posting also accepts equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree in some cases.
