Processor ASIC RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on ASIC/SoC IP development focused on RTL design, verification, and implementation for high-performance, low-power products. The role contributes to defining, modeling, designing, verifying, validating, implementing, and documenting blocks or SoC-level IP.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into architecture, logic design, and implementation strategy.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Preferred candidates have ~6+ months of relevant experience with architecture/design tools, scripting/programming, or design verification methods.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include contributing to RTL/IP design and supporting the implementation and verification flows.
- Define, model, design, optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development tasks under supervision.
- Assist in creation of architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop implementation strategies that meet system and customer requirements.
- Support evaluation of the flow from high-level design through synthesis, place-and-route, timing/power analysis, and verification.
- Use EDA tools and flows (e.g., RTL-to-GDS, Virtuoso) to implement and verify design blocks.
- Produce technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
- Communicate status and technical details effectively in written and verbal form.
Requirements

- Must-have: Working knowledge of ASIC design concepts and RTL design fundamentals; ability to learn and apply ASIC flows and EDA tools.
- Must-have: Basic scripting or programming ability to support automation and verification tasks.
- Must-have: Ability to produce technical documentation and communicate within a supervised team environment.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with architecture and design tools, design verification methods, RTL-to-GDS flow, Virtuoso, and low-power design techniques (preferred ~6+ months experience).
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. (No certifications or "equivalent experience" language specified.)
