Process Integrator for Technology Development - NVM

Role Summary

The Process Integrator for Technology Development joins the advanced technology development team embedded in the 300 mm wafer fab (Fab1) in Dresden. This role is the technical interface between research and volume production, owning development of process solutions for non-volatile memory (NVM) features and driving their transfer toward manufacturability and customer performance targets.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on characterization, experiment design, cross-functional coordination, and transferring research results into production-ready technology.

  • Physically and electrically characterize advanced semiconductor features.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve targeted performance parameters.
  • Coordinate technology development tasks within a volume production infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technology challenges affecting quality, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Engage with research institutes to bridge scientific research into industry applications.
  • Work with customers to define and drive technical solutions that meet their needs.
  • Define and run technical feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical support to other teams and departments.
  • Prepare and present project results and updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Key technical skills and abilities required for successful performance in this role.

  • Profound knowledge of modern CMOS process integration and techniques (e.g., CVD, lithography, RIE).
  • Experience with state-of-the-art NVM solutions; familiarity with FDSOI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of test chip design, tape-out/turnaround processes, design rules, and technology-design interactions.
  • Solid foundation in statistics and data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high-performance cross-functional teams and independently.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1); German language proficiency preferred.

Education Requirements

M.Sc. (Master’s) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or another relevant technical discipline is required. A PhD is indicated as beneficial.
