Job Title
Process & Integration Engineer - TFT Display Technology
Role Summary
Join the Display PPO group as a Process & Integration Engineer focused on TFT process development and device integration for advanced flat-panel displays. The role supports development of next-generation TFT architectures through process optimization, device characterization, simulation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Years of experience not specified in the posting.
Responsibilities
The role requires driving process integration, performing failure analysis and device characterization, executing simulations, and documenting technical results.
- Drive process integration for TFT display technologies, including photolithography, thin film deposition, and etching.
- Perform device physics analysis and characterization of a-Si, metal-oxide, and LTPS TFT technologies.
- Conduct failure analysis of pixel circuits and implement process optimization solutions.
- Execute simulations using TCAD, FMEA, FDTD and other modeling tools to support process and device development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance TFT architecture and display technology initiatives.
- Document technical findings and present results to internal stakeholders.
- Support metrology and characterization activities for critical-to-quality parameters.
- Contribute to pathfinding research for emerging display technologies.
Requirements
Key requirements and preferred skills for successful candidates.
-
Must-have: Practical experience in semiconductor or flat-panel display processes and equipment technology, or equivalent practical experience.
-
Must-have: Experience executing process integration activities, failure analysis, and characterization in R&D or manufacturing environments.
-
Must-have: Strong technical communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with photolithography, thin film deposition, dry/wet etching, metrology, and characterization techniques.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with TFT device physics (a-Si, metal-oxide, LTPS) and pixel circuit failure analysis methodologies.
-
Nice-to-have: Proficiency with simulation and data-processing tools such as TCAD, FDTD, FMEA, and data analysis software.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with process integration in semiconductor or display manufacturing environments and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
Minimum stated requirement: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering. The posting also allows equivalent educational or practical experience in lieu of the degree.
