Job Title

Process Integration Engineer, Embedded RRAM Module

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role on the Fab1 integration team in Dresden responsible for integrating embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM/RRAM) solutions into advanced 300mm 22FDX-SOI manufacturing. The role focuses on process development, monitoring, yield and reliability improvement, and supporting new product introduction and production ramp-up.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New graduate. Suitable for candidates with little to no professional experience; 0–2 years of relevant experience is typical.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include process integration, characterization, and cross-functional problem solving to enable manufacturing of embedded non-volatile memories.

  • Develop, optimize, and stabilize integration of embedded non-volatile memory solutions in 22FDX-SOI process flows.
  • Perform physical, inline and electrical characterization of eNVM-related parameters and implement inline monitoring methods for process control.
  • Sustain and improve manufacturing technologies to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with unit process engineers, yield engineering, analysis labs, and quality & reliability teams to resolve performance and reliability issues.
  • Support new product introduction, characterization, and production ramp-up in line with the Fab1 manufacturing roadmap.
  • Drive improvements in yield, reliability, and manufacturability of technology platforms.
  • Manage excursions and lead problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D).

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills expected for successful performance.

  • Basic knowledge of magnetic non-volatile semiconductor memories and CMOS process integration; expertise in solid-state physics and magnetic thin films is advantageous.
  • Experience or exposure to semiconductor technology, process integration, or unit process modules is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyse data from physical, inline and electrical characterization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English (at least C1).
  • Proficiency in German is an advantage but not required.

Education Requirements

M.Sc. (Master of Science) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or another relevant technical discipline is required.
