Process Integration Engineer - DRAM, DMTS

Role Summary

Member of the BEOL process integration team responsible for developing, qualifying, and transferring advanced DRAM process flows from R&D to high-volume manufacturing. The role focuses on metallization, dielectric integration, reliability, yield improvement and cross-site technology transfer.

This position is part of Micron's Technical Leadership Program (TLP) and expects technical leadership, mentoring, and influence across projects.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Deliver and operationalize BEOL process integration for next-generation DRAM.

  • Define and implement BEOL process flows, build rules, and specifications for advanced DRAM products.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolve complex integration issues across multiple modules and sites.
  • Drive yield and reliability improvement initiatives using data-driven methods and statistical analysis.
  • Coordinate and execute technology transfers, including process qualification and ramp to manufacturing.
  • Perform industry benchmarking and collaborate on cross-organizational projects to maintain technology leadership.
  • Investigate alternate architectures and enabling technologies (pathfinding).
  • Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement within the BEOL organization.

Requirements

Key must-have technical skills and experience for successful candidates.

  • More than 10 years of industry experience in DRAM BEOL process development and manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership of BEOL process development from R&D through pilot and high-volume manufacturing, including cross-node and cross-site transfers.
  • Deep expertise in metallization, barrier/liner engineering, dielectric integration, and reliability solutions for advanced DRAM nodes.
  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and advanced problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills; experience mentoring engineers.
  • Record of technical contributions such as patents and peer-reviewed papers related to DRAM BEOL integration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in pathfinding alternate architectures and integration enablers for next-generation DRAM.
  • Prior participation in industry benchmarking or collaborative semiconductor research projects.

Education Requirements

MS required (preferred PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Materials Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly lists MS as required and PhD as preferred.
