Job Title
Principal System Level Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead product engineering for system-level manufacturing and post-silicon bring-up across Arm products. Partner with Architecture, SoC Design, Validation, Test, System, Software and Quality teams and with external foundry/assembly partners to ensure manufacturability, yield, and system-level qualification for advanced nodes and 2.5D/3DIC designs.
Experience Level
Senior role. The position requires significant hands-on experience; the posting specifies a minimum of 10 years in system-level product engineering.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership across pre- and post-silicon product engineering and own the manufacturing flow at system-level test (SLT).
- Collaborate with line-of-business and architecture teams to capture and refine product requirements.
- Own technical pre-/post-silicon operations, aligning design, packaging, software, silicon validation, test and quality functions.
- Act as the Product Engineering contact for multi-functional collaborators and external partners.
- Work with partners to improve yield and characterization methodologies using integrated sensor frameworks and yield-mitigation strategies.
- Own post-silicon manufacturing test flow, yield improvement, system-level qualification, failure debug and SoC testing at SLT.
- Drive correlation and validation of VF margins for SLT testing; correlate functional failures to ATE and implement shift-left strategies.
- Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally for company and partner meetings.
Requirements
Key must-have technical skills and professional attributes.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in system-level product engineering, including manufacturing test, yield improvement, silicon characterization and system-level reliability qualification.
- Expertise in bare-metal and functional testing concepts for SoC testing, including compute subsystems and high-speed PHYs (UCIE/PCIe/DDR), and familiarity with SW diagnostics frameworks.
- Strong understanding of device physics, digital/mixed-signal design, foundry and assembly processes, and CPU/GPU/SoC power and performance dependencies.
- Proficiency with IC data tools such as Silicon.da, Optimal+ and experience analyzing data with JMP.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong initiative, and ability to engage collaborators and share learnings.
- No relocation package is available for this role.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in system design or system architecture.
- Experience in system validation of high-speed I/O.
- Software scripting skills (Python).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (degrees in closely related technical fields also implied).
