Role Summary

The Digital Verification Technologies (DVT) division is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead R&D product efforts for Questa Verification IQ (QVIQ). This role drives product direction from an engineering perspective and coordinates across Product Management, Product Engineering, architects, and customer-facing teams.

This is an engineering leadership role focused on product strategy, integrations, scalability, and customer adoption for an enterprise verification management product.

Experience Level

Senior - 18+ years of experience in enterprise software development, product leadership, technical product ownership, or closely related roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical product leadership, customer engagement, and cross-functional delivery for QVIQ.

• Define and drive product strategy and roadmap execution in partnership with Product Management and Product Engineering.
• Collaborate with customers, field teams, and strategic accounts to gather requirements and address adoption challenges.
• Design and drive integration strategy across Siemens EDA products, CI/CD environments, and third-party ecosystems.
• Translate customer and business needs into engineering priorities and implementation plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving R&D, PM, UX, and customer-facing teams across distributed organizations.
• Provide technical leadership for capabilities built on enterprise technologies and distributed/cloud platforms.
• Support customer engagements, executive reviews, product demonstrations, and strategic evaluations.
• Align product vision, release planning, and engineering execution across global teams.
• Monitor market trends and competitive opportunities, including AI-driven workflows and analytics, to influence product direction.

Must-have:

• 18+ years of experience in enterprise software development, product leadership, or technical product ownership.
• Proven record of leading complex software products and delivering customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software architectures, web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and software development lifecycles.
• Practical experience with Java and Spring Framework, RESTful services, front-end frameworks (Angular and/or React), SQL/NoSQL databases, and Linux-based environments.
• Experience with software integrations, platform ecosystems, and data-intensive applications.
• Ability to engage with architects and engineering teams on technical trade-offs, deployment models, and scalability.
• Experience working with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of digital design and verification methodologies and verification management workflows.
• Experience with simulation, formal verification, coverage analysis, or regression management tools.
• Familiarity with semiconductor development workflows and verification organizations.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and distributed computing environments.
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows, analytics platforms, or data-driven products.
• Familiarity with Siemens EDA solutions and verification technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
