Job Title

Principal Software Engineer

Role Summary

Lead technical initiatives to define and deliver end-to-end software validation, automation, and integration for next-generation Physical AI compute platforms targeting vehicles and robotics. Work across the full software stack from low-level firmware and BSPs through middleware and application layers.

Collaborate with architects, software leads, program managers and cross-functional teams; influence platform-level decisions and mentor a distributed engineering team.

Responsibilities

Own design and delivery of scalable test infrastructures, automation frameworks, and validation tooling to ensure high-performance, reliable firmware and system software.

  • Define and drive software validation strategy and test methodologies across the software stack.
  • Design and implement scalable test infrastructure and robust automation frameworks.
  • Integrate and bring up open-source frameworks and virtualization tools for platform validation.
  • Develop test metrics, reporting, and processes to measure and improve software quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and program management to translate system requirements into validation plans.
  • Influence architecture and productization decisions for firmware and platform software.
  • Mentor and lead a distributed engineering team, promote best practices and foster collaboration.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain experience, and leadership capabilities.

  • 16+ years of software development and system firmware verification/validation experience across semiconductor development lifecycle.
  • Deep practical knowledge of low-level system BSP firmware such as TF-A, TF-M, SCP, OP-TEE, Xen, Zephyr.
  • Proficient in embedded C/C++, Python, and Bash/Shell scripting; strong debugging skills across complex stacks.
  • Familiar with Git, Pytest, ROS2, GitLab/GitHub and common virtualization software.
  • Proven experience defining test strategies, test methods, metrics, and productizing firmware.
  • Demonstrated leadership: driving teams to delivery, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and clear technical documentation ability.
  • Nice-to-have: experience qualifying automotive/robotics workloads, AI/ML stacks, safety/security qualification experience, and familiarity with Arm architecture.
