Principal Program Manager
Role Summary
Responsible for project and program management for the Cadence Services Team, leading cross-functional matrix teams to deliver services engagements and technology initiatives for external and internal customers.
Own projects from initiation through delivery with technical and commercial responsibility, coordinating with account teams, technical leads, Finance and Legal to meet schedule and budget.
Experience Level
Senior - requires 6+ years of semiconductor design or relevant project management experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning, execution, stakeholder communication, and delivery of services projects.
- Work with account teams to scope services projects and develop Statements of Work and cost plans.
- Serve as principal customer contact; communicate status, risks, issues and resolutions.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
- Create, maintain and track project plans, schedules, activities and issues.
- Drive tasks to completion and report status and project metrics.
- Identify, mitigate and resolve project risks and issues proactively.
- Allocate and prioritize resources across teams to meet objectives.
- Foster collaboration, trust and accountability; resolve internal conflicts.
- Contribute to process and operational efficiency improvements.
- Occasional domestic and international travel as required.
Requirements

- Proven experience managing multiple complex services projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, assessment and analytical skills.
- Experience driving tactical services engagements and collaborating with sales, field and services teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost and deliverables.
- Proven track record of proactively resolving issues and managing project risks.
- Familiarity with IC design, SoC verification, RTL or IP development is beneficial.
- Experience with Cadence design tools is a plus.
Education Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Candidate should have 6+ years of semiconductor design or relevant project management experience. Project management certification is considered a plus.
