Job Title

Principal Product Test Engineer

Role Summary

Lead product test engineering for RF products within Qorvo's High Performance Analog (HPA) organization in Richardson, TX. Drive test planning, DVT definition and execution, data analysis, test automation, and cross-functional troubleshooting to reduce time-to-market and ensure product performance.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Professional). Guideline: 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and software/testing roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and improving product test and characterization activities across development phases.

  • Define DVT scope, initiate and track execution through completion for multiple product lines.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and documentation supporting new product introduction.
  • Execute and support product characterization from DC to mmWave frequencies.
  • Analyze test data and generate product performance reports.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting of product performance and test setups; provide guidance to technicians.
  • Influence overall test development strategy and SQA for new test flows.
  • Validate software integration supporting RF characterization and measurement automation.
  • Propose and implement improvements to the test automation framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead and support product testing efforts.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering and software/testing roles.
  • Strong exposure to RF product performance and RF test methodologies.
  • Proficient with test automation: design, development, and maintenance of automated tests.
  • Experience validating software tools and integrations used for RF characterization.
  • Experience contributing to SQA and introducing new test flows.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; able to work with test technicians and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Education Requirements

MSc degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
