Role Summary

Lead product strategy and execution for Synopsys' In-System and Memory Test & Repair solutions. Partner with R&D, Product Engineering, Field Applications, Sales, and Marketing to define roadmaps, set priorities, and drive customer adoption.

This role requires deep domain expertise in semiconductor test and close engagement with strategic customers; the position is remote-eligible but is ideally based in the Sunnyvale / Bay Area.

Experience Level

Senior - requires 10+ years of relevant semiconductor or EDA experience, including substantial product management or customer-facing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

You will own product direction and coordinate cross-functional execution from requirements through adoption. Key responsibilities include:

• Define product strategy, positioning, roadmap, and lifecycle for In-System and Memory Test & Repair products.
• Gather and analyze customer problems, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify product opportunities.
• Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements, release objectives, and business cases.
• Prioritize roadmap trade-offs across customer commitments, quality, usability, and innovation.
• Partner with R&D and Product Engineering to align scope, schedules, and release readiness.
• Engage with strategic customers and field teams to validate requirements, support adoption, and collect feedback.
• Track adoption, pipeline, competitive activity, and product metrics to guide investments.
• Define go-to-market plans and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Applications Engineering on launches and product content.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert internally and externally on product vision, differentiation, and value proposition.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills for effective performance in this role:

• Substantial product-management experience in EDA, semiconductor design, semiconductor test, or a closely related technical market.
• Deep technical knowledge of DFT, ATPG, BIST, memory test and repair, and the in-system/manufacturing-test ecosystem.
• Proven ability to define product strategy, build roadmaps, prioritize requirements, and drive cross-functional execution from concept to customer adoption.
• Strong customer orientation: ability to uncover requirements and convert customer feedback into scalable product decisions.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills; experience operating effectively in a global matrix organization and communicating with technical teams and senior leadership.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with multi-die test and advanced memory test & repair use cases.
• Prior roles that combined product management with product marketing or field/customer engineering engagement.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is expected. An MBA or PhD is a plus.
