Principal Product Line Manager
Role Summary
Lead the product strategy and roadmap for GaN/GaAs discrete transistor and MMIC product lines within the Defense, Aerospace and SATCOM (DAS) business unit. Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, manufacturing and finance to define products, validate customer value, and drive revenue and profit growth.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires 12+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in RF/microwave semiconductor product management, applications, systems engineering, technical sales, or similar customer-facing technical/business roles.
Responsibilities
Own and execute product-line strategy and roadmaps; engage customers and internal teams to deliver differentiated RF products.
- Develop and execute product line strategy to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Define and maintain product roadmaps with sales, engineering, and stakeholders.
- Specify new products that address customer design challenges and provide clear ROI.
- Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and justify new product investments.
- Validate product value propositions through direct customer engagement.
- Build and maintain customer relationships and partnerships; present roadmap and capabilities.
- Train internal and external sales teams on product value propositions and portfolio positioning.
- Champion products through pre-kickoff and development with cross-functional alignment (design, manufacturing, test, quality, finance, program).
- Perform market opportunity analysis, assess TAM/SAM, and track competitive and application trends.
Requirements
Core qualifications and conditions required to perform this role.
Must-have:
- 12+ years of related experience in RF/microwave semiconductor product management, product marketing, applications engineering, systems engineering, technical sales, or similar roles (or equivalent education and experience).
- Experience working directly with customers in RF markets and interpreting customer specifications.
- Proven ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, business, communication and presentation skills; attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- This position requires access to ITAR/EAR technologies. Applicant must be a US Person (US citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or eligible for necessary export authorizations.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience with RF products and Defense & Aerospace customers.
- System-level understanding of RF, compound semiconductor ICs, and control subsystems.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required or equivalent practical experience. A Master’s degree in a related engineering field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable.
