Principal Product Engineering
Role Summary
Lead customer-facing engagements and coordinate with Product Engineering and R&D to deliver analog design automation solutions for critical customer projects. Influence product development by translating customer requirements into technical solutions and deployments.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant experience in analog layout design, methodology, and automation.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Drive and manage key customer engagements in cooperation with local and international Field Applications teams.
- Support customers on critical projects and act as a technical escalation point.
- Work closely with Product Engineering and R&D to address customer requests and influence product direction.
- Plan and drive deployment of analog design automation innovations with partners and customers.
- Provide technical solutions, scripting support, and best-practice guidance for analog design flows and environments.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 8+ years of experience in analog layout design, methodology, and automation.
- Proven experience deploying analog design innovations with partners or customers.
- Proficiency in scripting using SHELL, Perl, and SKILL.
- Strong knowledge of Analog Design Flow, Analog Design Environment, Virtuoso schematic and layout features, and SKILL-based customization.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to build close working relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in field application or customer-facing engineering roles supporting analog design.
Education Requirements
BE / BTech / ME / MS / MTech in Electrical or Electronics engineering (as listed in the posting).
