Principal Product Engineering
Role Summary
Lead technical customer engagements and collaborate with Field Applications and Product Engineering teams to deploy and validate analog design automation solutions. Influence product development by translating customer requirements into engineering priorities.
Experience Level
Senior level — requires 8+ years of relevant experience in analog layout design, methodology, and automation.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer-facing technical support, solution deployment, and collaboration with R&D to improve product capabilities.
- Lead and support critical customer projects and technical escalations.
- Drive deployment of analog design automation solutions with partners and customers.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and R&D to influence product features and roadmap based on customer needs.
- Implement and validate analog design flows and environments, including Virtuoso schematic and layout features.
- Develop, maintain, and run automation scripts to streamline design and verification tasks.
- Troubleshoot customer issues, provide technical guidance, and prepare technical presentations and documentation.
- Work cross-functionally across geographies with Field Applications, product, and development teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for this role.
- 8+ years of experience in analog layout design, methodology, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Analog Design Flow and analog design environment tools, including Virtuoso schematic editor and layout features.
- Proficient in SKILL language and scripting using SHELL and Perl.
- Proven experience deploying analog design innovations with partners or customers.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to build working relationships with customers and internal teams.
Education Requirements
BE / BTech or ME / MS / MTech in Electrical or Electronics engineering (as listed in the source).
