Job Title
Principal Process Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Lead cross-functional teams to develop and qualify GaN/GaAs process technologies and release them to production for RF compound semiconductor ICs. Collaborate with business units, designers, program managers, customers, and fabrication teams to deliver manufacturable, reliable products.
Accountable for process flow definition, test-structure design, characterization, design-of-experiments, and yield/performance improvement to meet product specifications.
Experience Level
Senior level β Principal. Guideline: 5+ years process development/integration or yield enhancement experience, or equivalent combination of advanced degree and experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead cross-functional development and release of new GaN/GaAs technologies, products, and processes.
- Develop process flows and design elements to achieve required circuit performance.
- Design corner experiments to expose manufacturability issues and process sensitivities.
- Design and monitor in-line, DC, and RF probe test functions and test structures to support qualification and production release.
- Collect and analyze characterization data to verify technology meets specifications.
- Identify root causes for yield and performance limits and implement corrective actions.
- Define design rules and infrastructure needed to support new technology and product launches.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 5+ years experience in semiconductor process development/integration or yield enhancement (or equivalent combination of advanced degree and experience).
- Proven ability to develop process flows and design elements to meet circuit performance targets.
- Experience designing corner experiments and statistical DOE to identify process sensitivities.
- Experience designing and monitoring in-line, DC, and RF probe tests and test structures.
- Experience analyzing characterization data and resolving yield/performance limiting factors.
- Experience defining design rules and process infrastructure for new technologies.
Nice-to-have:
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams through technology release.
- Electrical test experience (parametric, die sort, SPA) and RF circuit understanding.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and RF measurement methods.
- Familiarity with CAD (Mentor), data analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP), and programming/databases.
- Experience with compound semiconductor ICs, GaN/GaAs, pHEMTs, transistor physics, and RF testing.
- Strong computer skills across platforms and tools.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics required. Preferred: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field. The posting allows an equivalent combination of an advanced degree and experience in place of the listed years of experience.
