Role Summary
Design and implement network and system-level simulation models and analysis tools to evaluate performance, scalability, and fault tolerance for NICs, switches, and future system architectures. Provide data and simulation results to inform ASIC, hardware, and software design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Senior β Principal level; typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed simulation models for NICs, switches, and system architectures.
- Design and implement simulation motifs to generate realistic network scenarios.
- Create tools for performance analysis, visualization, and result interpretation.
- Evaluate performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of proposed architectures.
- Apply software engineering best practices to ensure reliable, maintainable simulation code.
- Collaborate closely with network architects, ASIC designers, and software engineers to validate assumptions and iterate on designs.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in network/system simulation, architecture evaluation, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and system-level design.
- Proficiency in simulation/modeling using C++ and data analysis using Python.
- Experience analyzing architectural trade-offs and optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices for simulation projects (testing, version control, performance profiling).
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
