Principal Medium Voltage (MV) Power MOSFET Process Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Medium Voltage (MV) Power Trench MOSFET team to define, develop, and industrialize next-generation MV shielded-gate trench MOSFET process technology. The role partners with device design, applications, marketing, and foundry teams to optimize device performance, improve yield, and support transfer to mass production.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on process module definition, wafer and package performance analysis, and technology scaling for production.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. The posting indicates up to 15 years of experience in power semiconductor device or process development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading process development cycles, analyzing results, and driving technologies into production.
- Define and establish key process modules for next-generation MV shielded-gate trench MOSFET technology.
- Set up and validate process modules required for technology development.
- Perform wafer probing and analyze wafer-level electrical test results each development cycle.
- Analyze package-level performance and correlate to wafer data.
- Lead yield-improvement activities and support technology transfer to mass production.
- Support development of derivative products based on mature platforms.
- Collaborate with design, application, marketing, and external foundry partners to meet product targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, domain experience, and language proficiency.
- Significant experience in power semiconductor device or process development (focus on MV devices preferred).
- Solid understanding of power device physics and semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Hands-on experience with TCAD tools and simulation-based device analysis.
- Proven ability to analyze wafer-level and package-level electrical/performance data.
- Experience leading yield improvement and technology transfer activities.
- Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English and Japanese.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience with Si-based MV shielded-gate trench MOSFETs.
- Experience working with external foundries and cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
