Principal Laser Module Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Laser Design and Modeling Engineer to drive innovations in laser module technology. The role involves the design, modeling, and simulation of I, III-V based high-speed and high-power semiconductor lasers, from concept to production.

Experience Level

This position is geared towards candidates with over 10 years of relevant experience in semiconductor technology development, particularly in laser design and manufacturing collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate high-speed semiconductor laser modules.
• Lead the development of laser module technology and manage processes from conception through production.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to define product roadmaps and guidelines on DFM and DFY.
• Communicate development progress and challenges at the executive level.
• Engage with global partners to analyze data and propose solutions to enhance yield and reliability.
• Analyze experimental results and suggest improvements for design optimization.

Requirements

Candidates should have a history of delivering innovative laser solutions and experience in leading engineering teams in architecture and process definition. The ability to communicate complex technical information clearly is essential.

Education Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
