Principal IP Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify complex IP blocks such as memory controllers and interconnects. Work with global design and architecture teams to plan, execute, and own end-to-end IP verification and sign-off.
Experience Level
Senior β 10+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include creating verification environments, executing regressions, and collaborating with design teams to close issues.
- Develop and execute verification plans for memory controllers, interconnects, and other infrastructure IPs.
- Build scalable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments with reusable UVM components (agents, monitors, scoreboards).
- Own end-to-end IP verification sign-off, including functional and code coverage targets.
- Manage regression suites and debug failures to closure.
- Collaborate with RTL designers and architects to identify and resolve design and verification issues.
Requirements
Key technical requirements and preferred skills.
- Strong experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, and Verilog.
- Proven knowledge of functional verification methodologies, assertions (SVA), and coverage-driven verification.
- Familiarity with interconnect protocols such as AXI, AHB, CHI, and PCIe.
- Experience debugging complex RTL and testbench issues and managing regressions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Nice-to-have: experience with formal verification techniques.
