Role Summary
Join Broadcom's ASIC Product Division design team to lead SoC architecture, integration, and implementation for high-performance AI and storage SoCs. The role focuses on integrating IP, driving design quality, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready SoC releases.
Experience Level
Senior / Principal level. See Education Requirements for the specific years-of-experience guidance tied to degree level.
Responsibilities
Lead technical activities across SoC integration and verification to deliver production silicon.
- Define overall SoC architecture and integrate internal and external IP.
- Lead analysis using simulation, synthesis, formal verification, and timing tools to ensure design quality.
- Drive the extended team to support simulation, synthesis, formal flows, constraint definition, and validation.
- Collaborate with layout, DFT, and cross-functional teams to optimize area, performance, and yield.
- Refine designs based on data-driven trade-off analysis and process variation impacts.
- Produce specification and release collateral required for SoC delivery.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and conditions for this role.
- Demonstrated experience with SoC architecture and on-chip interconnects (AMBA) supporting multiple processors and varied I/O.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces including DRAM and multi-lane SERDES.
- Proficiency in HDL and verification languages: Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog.
- Strong understanding of physical implementation and timing closure under process variation.
- Ability to analyze complex trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; familiar with cloud-based documentation/workflows.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States; this position does not provide company-sponsored immigration support.
Education Requirements
Degree and experience options specified by the employer: Bachelor's in Engineering (EE, CE, or CS preferred) with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
