Job Title
Principal IC SoC Integration and Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead SoC integration and design activities for ASIC programs focused on AI and storage products. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to define architecture, integrate IP, and drive simulation, verification, synthesis and physical implementation to production.
Experience Level
Senior / Principal. Typical experience: 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a Master's degree in engineering.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define overall SoC architecture and integrate internal and external IP.
- Perform detailed design analysis and ensure design quality using industry tools.
- Lead and coordinate simulation, synthesis, formal verification, constraint definition, and validation efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet customer requirements and enable success.
- Consult with layout and DFT engineers to optimize area, performance, and yield.
- Create design collateral and specifications required for SoC release.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and conditions:
- Extensive SoC/ASIC design experience, including AMBA interconnect and multicore processor integration.
- Proven expertise in HDL: SystemVerilog, Verilog, and/or VHDL.
- Experience with simulation, synthesis, formal verification, and constraint-driven design flows.
- Strong understanding of physical implementation and timing closure, including process variation impacts.
- Experience with a range of I/O protocols including DRAM and high-speed multi-lane SERDES.
- Analytical decision-making skills to evaluate complex trade-offs using data.
- Effective written and verbal communication; experience with cloud-based documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; this position does not provide company-sponsored immigration support.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience preparing SoC release documentation and detailed design specifications.
