Job Title

Principal FPGA/ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the design, implementation, and verification of testbenches and verification environments for high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs supporting Mission Systems programs. Work on RTL block- and chip-level verification, provide technical leadership to verification teams, and improve verification flows and lab validation practices.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Principal technical and leadership responsibilities include:

  • Architect and implement verification environments using SystemVerilog and OVM/UVM.
  • Develop RTL block and chip-level testbenches (VHDL and/or SystemVerilog).
  • Create written test plans, test cases, and track code and functional coverage.
  • Recommend tools, practices, and improvements for ASIC/FPGA verification flows.
  • Provide technical leadership for verification teams, including planning and status reporting.
  • Support ASIC/FPGA lab validation and debug activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, security, and work-eligibility requirements:

  • Active, transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
  • Professional experience developing and simulating RTL using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies (OVM/UVM).
  • At least 4 years of chip-level verification experience.
  • Experience with revision control (Git, Subversion) and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (C, C++, Python, or similar).
  • Experience with ASIC/FPGA lab validation and hardware debug.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Education Requirements
