Role Summary

Lead a firmware engineering team responsible for developing CXL and PCIe endpoint device firmware, firmware architecture, and delivery. The role combines technical leadership, project planning, cross-functional coordination, and people management across distributed sites.

Senior - 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor or embedded systems industry.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, team management, and successful delivery of firmware for CXL/PCIe end point devices.

  • Lead and manage a team of firmware engineers; recruit, mentor, and retain talent.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver firmware projects and schedules across distributed teams.
  • Define firmware architecture and oversee implementation for CXL and PCIe endpoints.
  • Design and review drivers for UART, SPI, I2C/I3C, USB, and PCIe interfaces.
  • Ensure secure firmware practices: secure boot flows and TrustZone-based designs.
  • Collaborate with architects, validation/QA, system test, product management, and customers.
  • Drive debug and validation efforts in embedded environments; resolve complex hardware/firmware issues.
  • Allocate engineering resources and maintain high-performance team execution.

  • 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor or embedded systems industry.
  • Proven track record developing embedded systems and firmware for endpoint devices (PCIe/CXL experience preferred).
  • Experience leading engineering teams (typically >5 people).
  • Strong proficiency in C and embedded debugging tools and workflows.
  • Experience writing low-level drivers for UART, SPI, I2C/I3C, USB, and PCIe.
  • Strong knowledge of Arm Cortex-M and Cortex-A architectures; experience with RISC-V is a plus.
  • Experience with RTOS environments; Zephyr or similar is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of secure firmware design, secure boot flows, and Arm TrustZone.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is specified.
