Principal Engineer, Process Engineering (CMP)
Role Summary
Principal engineer responsible for chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) and related process module development for 300mm advanced packaging at GF Fab 3 in Singapore. Lead process definition, integration of equipment and materials, and delivery of process controls, SOPs and continuous improvement plans.
Works with cross-functional teams (equipment, materials, product development, EHS) to meet technology specifications, cost and schedule targets.
Experience Level
Senior — 5–7 years of relevant experience in the electrical/electronics or semiconductor industry; experience in CMP or semiconductor process engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
- Create, analyze and review technical data and charts to support process decisions.
- Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality and performance targets.
- Establish and maintain SOPs and perform FMEA for related processes.
- Review product development requirements for process compatibility, cost and schedule implications.
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet module and technology specifications.
- Lead continuous improvement plans (CIP) to improve process performance indices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver program objectives and project milestones.
- Perform all work in accordance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in the electrical/electronics or semiconductor industry, preferably in CMP or process engineering.
- Practical experience with process control, data analysis and process documentation (SOPs, FMEAs).
- Experience integrating equipment and materials to meet process specifications.
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement activities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to safety and EHS compliance in manufacturing environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in an engineering or science related field (the posting specifies "Degree or Master’s Degree in any engineering/science related field").
