Principal Engineer - Memory Circuit Design Verification
Role Summary
Lead the verification architecture and methodology for next-generation DDR memory designs. Drive verification sign-off by developing verification plans, reusable UVM testbenches, coverage strategies, and automation; collaborate with design/build teams, EDA vendors, and mixed-signal flows.

Experience Level
Senior β typically 12+ years of experience in design verification; experience with DDR/GDDR memory verification is preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining verification strategy, implementing testbenches and automation, and improving verification efficiency using AI/ML techniques.
- Define and drive verification architecture and methodology for next-generation DDR designs.
- Develop verification plans, coverage strategies, and sign-off criteria.
- Architect and implement UVM-based testbenches and reusable verification components.
- Collaborate with build teams to ensure verification completeness and quality.
- Mentor and guide verification engineers on guidelines and advanced methodologies.
- Evaluate and integrate AMS co-simulation techniques for mixed-signal IP verification.
- Work with EDA vendors to adopt the latest tools and flows.
- Leverage AI/ML and AI-assisted tools to improve verification efficiency, regression analysis, and failure classification.
- Contribute to automation initiatives such as intelligent test generation, predictive coverage-gap analysis, and AI-driven waveform/debug analytics.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and experience required for the role.
- Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and advanced verification methodologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with simulation, coverage analysis, and regression management.
- Proven ability to lead verification teams and influence technical direction.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience with scripting for automation (Python, TCL, Perl).
- Familiarity with AMS co-simulation and mixed-signal verification flows (preferred).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts (supervised learning, clustering, anomaly detection) and familiarity with AI-assisted EDA tools or internal AI platforms (preferred).
- Effective cross-team communication, ownership mindset, and ability to drive closure independently.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree β or equivalent practical experience β in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
