Job Title

Principal Engineer, IP Program Management - CCS

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional technical and program management for IP solutions used in Marvell Custom Compute and Storage (CCS) products. Drive IP sourcing, roadmaps, cost, schedule, quality, validation and strategic decisions across internal teams and external suppliers.

This role requires coordination across engineering, validation, product and external partners to ensure IP delivered meets product and customer requirements. May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Preferred experience: 5+ years in semiconductor program management; the posting also gives ranges tied to degree level (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include end-to-end IP program leadership and ensuring IP quality and delivery throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Provide end-to-end project and program management for IP used in custom processors and SoCs.
  • Align Business Unit IP requirements with internal and external IP offerings using data and models to support decisions.
  • Manage IP roadmaps, licensing/acquisition, costs, schedules, and associated collateral to meet timelines.
  • Confirm IP validation plans and reports meet qualification and customer requirements.
  • Drive IP-related reviews, checkpoints, issue analysis and resolution across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead quality initiatives and continuous improvement related to IP delivery and integration.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers at multiple seniority levels to drive alignment.

Requirements

Must-have professional experience and skills (degree and equivalent-experience guidance summarized under Education Requirements).

  • Minimum of 5 years in semiconductor-industry program management or a related role.
  • Proven leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong cross-functional management skills; ability to build trust, manage expectations, and drive alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Advanced risk identification, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions that align with internal strategy and customer requirements.
  • Nice-to-have: technical background applicable to custom processor development (design, validation, test, quality); experience working with customers, partners, or technology vendors; prior work with IP or SoC technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5–10 years of related professional experience; or Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3–5 years of experience; or equivalent professional/practical experience in lieu of a formal degree.
