Principal Engineer Device Modeling & Characterization

Role Summary

Join the Ultra-Low-Power CMOS modeling team in Bengaluru to develop compact (SPICE) device models and support characterization activities used in Process Design Kits (PDKs) for digital, analog and RF applications.

The role focuses on device characterization, compact-model development, model validation/correlation and supporting PDK-ready model deliverables.

Responsibilities

Accountable for device characterization, compact-model development and verification for advanced CMOS technologies.

  • Design MOSFET characterization test structures for compact-model extraction.
  • Develop compact models for FDSOI, FinFET and Bulk MOS technologies.
  • Build statistical (Monte Carlo) and fixed-corner models.
  • Perform model-to-hardware correlation and produce correlation reports.
  • Run circuit and model simulations using HSPICE and Spectre.
  • Support safe work practices and comply with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of FDSOI and FinFET technologies, test-structure design for model extraction, process development, measurement/characterization experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with BSIM model families, Python scripting, ICCAP, and RF/high-frequency MOSFET characterization and modeling.
