Senior — requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, RTL/IP development, hardware bring-up, timing closure, and documentation:
- Architect and develop FPGA reference designs and solutions.
- Develop Verilog RTL and reusable IP components.
- Define and implement use models for next‑generation FPGA architecture exploration.
- Perform FPGA I/O interface bring‑up (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, transceivers) on hardware platforms.
- Execute FPGA design flow, set timing constraints, and resolve timing issues.
- Debug designs at RTL and hardware levels using lab equipment and tools.
- Train Field Application Engineers and contribute to customer-facing documentation.
- Follow development processes, quality standards, and coding guidelines.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical abilities:
- Strong proficiency in Verilog RTL design.
- Solid experience in digital logic design using FPGAs.
- Strong understanding of FPGA design flow, timing analysis, and timing closure.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills at RTL and hardware levels.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (protocol analyzers, clock generators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, JESD204B/C, or DDR.
