Role Summary

Lead development of advanced digital circuits for custom blocks such as SRAM, register files, memory compilers, custom datapaths, and caches. Own circuit floorplanning and optimizations for power, performance, area, timing, and yield, and drive schematic, simulation and verification activities.

This is an on-site technical leadership role responsible for building and guiding a circuit design team and collaborating with RTL, physical design, verification, architecture, and layout teams. This role requires consent to an extended background investigation where applicable.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design digital circuits for custom blocks (SRAM, register files, memory compilers, custom datapath, caches).
• Develop floorplans and optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, and yield.
• Perform circuit schematic entry, simulation, verification, and electrical/timing analysis.
• Manage and mentor circuit design engineers across memory and custom digital domains.
• Provide direction on test plans, component evaluation, and design drawings.
• Improve and automate design flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with RTL, physical designers, verification, architecture, and layout teams to resolve pre- and post-silicon issues.
• Set technical strategy, align organizational goals, and drive cross-team technical solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Extensive hands-on circuit design and transistor-level experience.
• Proficiency with circuit simulation tools and verification methodologies.
• Expertise optimizing circuits for performance, power, area, timing, and yield.
• Strong knowledge of memory blocks and test tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is listed as the minimum education; the posting allows equivalent experience and requests 17+ years of circuit design experience.
