Role Summary
Drive IP, subsystem, and SoC development for next-generation memory and storage products. Hands-on role covering micro-architecture, RTL design, integration, and silicon support, collaborating across architecture, verification, firmware, DFT, synthesis, and physical design teams.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 12+ years of hands-on IP and SoC RTL design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end IP and SoC ownership, integration, and post-silicon support.
- Own IP and subsystem design from micro-architecture through reusable RTL implementation.
- Lead SoC integration tasks: CDC, lint, synthesis, STA, and power analysis.
- Define and review module interfaces and system-level architecture.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, Firmware, DFT, Synthesis, and Physical Design teams.
- Support post-silicon debug, bring-up activities, and provide silicon support.
- Provide technical mentorship and participate in design and methodology reviews.
- Apply Micron-approved AI tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering productivity and design quality while complying with AI governance standards.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 12+ years of hands-on IP & SoC RTL design experience.
- Strong micro-architecture and RTL design skills; proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of asynchronous design concepts and CDC methodologies.
- Experience with SoC design flows: lint, CDC, synthesis/STA, and power analysis.
- Proficient with scripting languages for design automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
Preferred / nice-to-have:
- Exposure to LPDDR subsystems, CPU subsystems, or SoC test controller design.
- Experience with ASIC controllers for storage or memory systems.
- Hands-on post-silicon debug and silicon bring-up experience.
