Job Title
Principal Engineer, Analog Design (Power) Engineering
Role Summary
Architect and deliver power-management analog IP and blocks for next-generation PMICs used in portable consumer applications. Work within a multi-site analog/mixed-signal design team and engage directly with Tier-1 OEMs. The role includes technical leadership, hands-on transistor-level design, and silicon bring-up.
Responsible for owner-level delivery from architecture through implementation, verification, and lab debug across cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 10+ years' experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design (see Education Requirements for degree details).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, circuit design, system integration, and silicon bring-up for power-management blocks.
- Define architectures for high-performance mixed-signal devices and PMICs.
- Transistor-level circuit design and simulation of analog and power blocks.
- Architect and design switching regulators, LDOs, and charge-pump converters.
- Develop closed-loop control, compensation, and loop-stability strategies.
- Integrate analog/power blocks into larger mixed-signal SoCs and verify system-level performance.
- Lead silicon bring-up, lab evaluation, debug and optimization across process, voltage, and temperature variations.
- Present technical results to internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with layout, test, and system architects to meet functional, power, and timing targets.
- Improve design methodologies and verification flows to reduce time-to-market and cost.
- Provide mentoring, technical leadership, and cross-site coordination.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 10+ years' experience as an analog/mixed-signal IC designer focused on power-management circuits.
- Deep, demonstrable expertise in switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, and control-loop architectures.
- Proven ability to take full cell or system ownership from architecture through implementation and debug.
- Experience integrating power-management/analog blocks into complex SoCs or microcontroller systems.
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills; experience working in multi-site teams.
- Willingness to travel (~10%).
Nice-to-have:
- Design experience with amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, and bias circuits.
Education Requirements
The posting requests an Electronic Engineering degree and specifies 10+ years’ experience as an analog/mixed-signal IC designer. No other degrees, fields of study, certifications, or explicit "or equivalent experience" language were listed.
