Job Title
Principal Engineer, Analog Design Engineering
Role Summary
Senior analog IC design role focused on power-management (PMIC) circuits for portable consumer applications. The position sits in the Singapore Design Center within the Consumer Business Unit and includes design ownership, customer engagement, and mentoring responsibilities.
Experience Level
Senior — requires a minimum of 10 years' experience as an analog/mixed-signal IC designer.
Responsibilities
Design, validate, and lead delivery of high-performance analog and power blocks for mixed-signal SoCs.
- Define architectures and develop transistor-level designs for mixed-signal devices and PMIC blocks.
- Design switching regulators (buck/boost, multi‑mode/multi‑phase), LDOs, charge pumps, and closed‑loop control/compensation.
- Perform circuit simulation, silicon bring‑up, debug, and optimization across PVT corners.
- Integrate analog and power blocks into larger mixed‑signal systems and SoCs.
- Support layout, lab evaluation, and test activities to ensure delivery meets specifications.
- Present technical results to internal teams and customers; mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Core technical skills and proven delivery experience required.
- 10+ years as an analog/mixed‑signal IC designer with demonstrable power‑management work.
- Deep expertise in switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, and control‑loop architectures.
- Strong transistor‑level design, simulation, and verification skills; familiarity with analog verification flows and tools.
- Experience with silicon debug, performance optimization, and integration into complex SoCs.
- Effective communication, leadership, and cross‑functional teamwork skills; able to engage with customers.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to ~10% of the time.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with amplifiers, ADC/DACs, bandgaps, bias circuits, and low‑noise/high‑PSRR design techniques.
- Prior ownership of full cell or system design from architecture through implementation.
Education Requirements
Master's (MSEE) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) is specified. The posting also requires a minimum of 10 years' related design experience.
