Principal Engineer, Advanced DRAM PI
Role Summary
Lead development and integration of Advanced DRAM device architectures from concept through silicon and productization. Work on process integration, device physics, materials, characterization, and reliability to deliver next-generation memory solutions.
Experience Level
Senior β 7 to 10 years of semiconductor experience in memory technology, process integration, or device development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading integration efforts, experimental evaluation, cross-functional collaboration, and yield improvement.
- Lead process integration for Advanced DRAM technologies, including charge storage devices and thin-film transistors (TFTs).
- Develop and integrate new memory device architectures from concept through silicon implementation and productization.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate device performance, variability, reliability, and failure mechanisms.
- Collaborate with process integration, device engineering, materials science, characterization, and reliability teams to optimize process flows and meet product requirements.
- Drive yield improvement through analysis of inline, defect, parametric, and probe data.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
Must-have
- 7 to 10 years of semiconductor experience in memory technology, process integration, or device development.
- Strong knowledge of memory technologies such as DRAM, NAND, and emerging memory architectures.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor process integration, process development, device physics, and materials science.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical projects and applying rigorous experimental design and data analysis methodologies.
Nice-to-have
- Experience developing advanced-node memory technologies and Advanced DRAM architectures.
- Familiarity with memory-related circuit and architecture considerations that impact device design and performance.
- Experience evaluating reliability, variability, noise mechanisms, and performing device failure analysis.
- Experience using AI-assisted analytics for data interpretation, anomaly detection, or yield improvement.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
