Job Title

Principal DRAM Product Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Technical lead connecting customers and engineering for Micron's DRAM portfolio, including HBM, DDR, and GDDR. Responsible for product validation, quality improvement, and customer integration across system platforms and next-generation processors.

Works cross-functionally with design, validation, and customer teams to debug issues, analyze data, and produce application guidance and training.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include system-level validation, data-driven quality improvement, and customer support.

  • Validate and characterize DRAM products on system platforms and next-generation processors.
  • Analyze product, yield, and performance data to improve quality and reliability.
  • Support failure analysis and document corrective actions.
  • Develop application notes, design guidance, and technical training materials.
  • Assist customer integration efforts, including signal integrity/power integrity (SI/PI), timing, and system bring-up.
  • Collaborate with design, validation, and customer teams to resolve system-level issues.

Must have:

  • Experience in product engineering, applications engineering, hardware validation, or system integration.
  • Understanding of memory technologies, system architecture, or platform validation.
  • Exposure to tools such as Python, Linux, or JMP.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with DDR4, DDR5, HBM, GDDR, or similar memory technologies.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, electrical validation, or SI/PI fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting customer bring-up or system-level debug.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
