Principal Design Validation Product Engineer, DEG

Role Summary

Validate and debug next-generation DRAM products from early design through high-volume manufacturing. Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and business teams to define specifications, develop validation flows, and improve product quality and yield.

Member of Micron's DRAM Technology group focused on circuit-level analysis, failure analysis, and test/qualification support.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define and validate product specifications with design, test, manufacturing, and business partners.
• Perform circuit-level analysis and design validation using CAD tools, simulations, and lab equipment.
• Develop validation flows to find design marginalities and drive circuit or design fixes.
• Conduct electrical failure analysis and support reliability and qualification activities.
• Partner with manufacturing to optimize test yield and support volume ramp.
• Document architecture and present technical findings to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Semiconductor industry experience with exposure to DRAM or memory products.
• Knowledge of circuit-level simulation and semiconductor device behavior.
• Hands-on experience with lab tools, testers, and data analysis.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, and process technology.
• Proficiency with Cadence schematics and layout tools.
• Experience with Verilog or analog simulation environments.
• Scripting experience using Python, Perl, Unix, or similar languages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience. (The posting explicitly allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.)
