Role Summary

Senior analog and mixed-signal IC design role focused on power-management products (switching regulators, load switches, LDOs). The engineer will define circuits and architectures, create system-level models and transistor-level designs, and drive products from concept through production.

The role requires technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration with physical design, validation, product engineering, test engineering, and product marketing to deliver production-ready ICs and contribute to IP and front-end technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include design, leadership, and cross-team coordination to deliver analog/mixed-signal power-management ICs.

• Architect and implement analog/mixed-signal circuits for switching regulators, load switches, and LDOs.
• Develop system-level behavior models and perform transistor-level circuit design to meet part specifications.
• Lead technical direction and mentor team members; drive design reviews and decision-making.
• Define product specifications with product marketing and translate them into circuit and test requirements.
• Collaborate with physical designers; review and monitor IC layout progress.
• Work with validation, product engineering, and test engineering to enable successful transfer to production.
• Contribute to IP development and front-end technology roadmap planning.
• Troubleshoot, perform fault analysis, and support silicon bring-up and characterization.

Requirements

Minimum technical and practical experience required for successful performance in this role.

• Proven experience developing power-management analog/mixed-signal ICs (switching regulators, load switches, LDOs).
• At least 5 years experience with analog/mixed-signal design tools and flows, including Cadence Schematic Editor, ADE Assembler, Spectre, AMS, and Layout Suite.
• At least 5 years troubleshooting and fault-analysis experience during IC product development.
• At least 5 years defining product specifications and collaborating with product marketing to ensure performance targets are met.
• At least 3 years experience in system and application-level design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and coordinate across layout, validation, test, and product engineering groups.
• Experience guiding physical designers and monitoring layout progress toward tapeout.
• Domestic travel up to 15% and telecommuting permitted up to two days per week.
• Nice-to-have: experience contributing to IP roadmaps and front-end process/technology planning.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of work experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience.
