As a Principal Design Engineer, you will own the full product cycle for high-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs): architecture, circuit design, simulation, layout supervision, and post-layout verification. The role partners with digital, layout, and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready ADC IP and products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end ADC product development and cross-team collaboration.

• Define ADC architecture and perform detailed circuit design for high-resolution ADCs.
• Perform circuit simulation and verification using industry EDA tools.
• Supervise and coordinate with layout engineers to meet performance and manufacturability targets.
• Execute post-layout verification and extraction to validate designs.
• Collaborate with digital designers for interfaces and system integration.
• Monitor technology trends and incorporate advancements into designs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proven experience in ADC circuit design, particularly high-resolution ADCs.
• Proficiency with analog/mixed-signal EDA tools (Cadence, Mentor, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of layout design and extraction practices; experience supervising layout engineers preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and able to learn new technologies.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with digital design flow and digital system integration.
• Experience with mixed-mode or system-level simulation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
