Build and manage a team of Q&R engineers, coordinate with customers and manufacturing partners to debug failures, support RMA analysis, and improve yield, performance, quality, and cost.
Experience Level
Senior / Principal level. No specific years-of-experience requirement stated.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Lead all Q&R activities for an IC product line and set technical direction for reliability engineering.
- Recruit, build, and manage a team of quality and reliability engineers; mentor and develop staff.
- Define, execute, and analyze semiconductor quality and reliability tests and metrics.
- Work directly with customers to jointly debug failures and reduce IC-related field issues.
- Perform and coordinate failure analysis (FA) and RMA investigations.
- Collaborate with fabs, OSATs, ODMs and internal teams to improve fabrication yield and production processes.
- Establish statistical approaches for reliability assessments and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Experience in semiconductor quality & reliability test definition, execution, and analysis.
- Proven experience leading a team of IC quality and reliability engineers.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor physics, VLSI IC design, manufacturing, testing, failure analysis, reliability engineering, and statistics.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Experience with IC- and system-level testing and debug.
