Principal ASIC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification strategy and execution for ASIC/SoC projects within the Silicon IP business. Work with design teams to define testbench architecture, drive coverage closure, and deliver metric-driven verification results.
Act as a technical expert and mentor, coordinate design reviews, and manage verification deliverables to meet project schedules.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and reporting verification for complex SoC/ASIC projects.
- Develop verification strategies and detailed plans for ASIC/SoC projects
- Define and implement testbench architecture and verification methodologies
- Build testbench infrastructure and verification components
- Create verification item lists, coverage models, and checkers
- Drive coverage closure and perform failure analysis
- Provide metric-driven reports on verification progress
- Break down tasks, schedule work, and manage deliverables
- Lead design review meetings and mentor team members
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing test environments using UVM/VMM/OVM
- Proven expertise in constraint-random verification, coverage-driven verification, and failure analysis
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and object-oriented verification methodologies
- Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog coding and simulation tools
- Solid understanding of SoC/ASIC design flows and backend processes
- Knowledge of one or more interface protocols: DDR, PCIe, AMBA (AXI/CHI), SD, eMMC, Ethernet, USB, MIPI
- Experience working in Unix environments
- Strong written and verbal English communication; ability to work independently and in teams
Nice-to-have:
- Formal verification experience
- Familiarity with C/C++, Perl, Python, and Tcl scripting
- Understanding of firmware or embedded software development
- Experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or FMEDA
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE). The posting specifies 15+ years of relevant experience at the principal level.
