Role Summary

Lead customer-facing FPGA prototyping evaluations and deployments. Provide technical leadership on complex prototyping workflows, collaborate with product and sales teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Technical and customer-facing responsibilities for FPGA prototyping projects.

  • Execute FPGA prototyping tasks: design bring-up, partitioning, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and debug.
  • Collaborate with application engineering and customer teams to run evaluations and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Define requirements and optimize FPGA prototyping and CAD workflows as the technical interface to customers.
  • Support deployment and integration of FPGA prototype systems across hardware and software environments.
  • Develop and apply data exchange and interoperability methods across tools and platforms.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and R&D to align customer needs with product capabilities and influence product direction.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operate independently on complex engagements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this role.

  • Must-have: 10+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping or related fields.
  • Must-have: Extensive knowledge of VLSI and digital design.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of large design partitioning and routing across multiple FPGAs.
  • Must-have: Experience interfacing with low- and high-speed peripherals.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience influencing product direction or working closely with R&D/product teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering (as stated in source).
