Job Title

Principal Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Engineer - Power/ATE

Role Summary

Lead design and delivery of high-performance power-delivery and measurement mixed-signal ICs for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). Responsible for architecture, circuit design, simulation, characterization, and release-to-production.

Work within an analog/mixed-signal design team and collaborate with product, layout, test, CAD/EDA, and applications teams. Location: Colorado Springs, CO (preferred) or Wilmington, MA.

Experience Level

Senior-level; requires 10+ years of experience in analog circuit design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading design projects and integrating mixed-signal subsystems.

  • Lead medium-to-high complexity IC designs from architecture through implementation and debug.
  • Perform transistor-level circuit design, mixed-mode top-level and block design, and simulation.
  • Define and apply verification techniques, tools, and flows to meet specifications.
  • Integrate blocks into larger mixed-signal systems and own top-level subsystem integration.
  • Collaborate with business, applications, layout, test engineering, CAD/EDA, and project management teams.
  • Support layout, application, and test functions to ensure successful production release.
  • Perform hands-on lab evaluation of ICs and support product definition; travel ~10%.

Requirements

Key technical and professional requirements.

  • 10+ years' experience as an analog circuit designer, including leadership of complex mixed-signal IC projects.
  • Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design, tools, and flows.
  • Design experience with amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits.
  • Good understanding of power supply control architectures and digital IC design.
  • Knowledge of BCD process technologies and familiarity with reliability issues (latch-up, HCI degradation).
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to take ownership of subsystems.
  • Willingness to travel to support product definition (~10%).
  • Applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents may require export licensing review.

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is specified in the posting.
