Principal Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior analog/mixed-signal IC designer responsible for architecture, schematic design, verification, layout validation and product qualification for battery management and high-voltage power products.
Role sits within the Driver & Energy Systems product line and collaborates with global design teams, design architects, layout, verification, and validation groups.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 10+ years of analog IC design experience.
Responsibilities
The role owns analog/mixed-signal block design from architecture through product release and supports lab validation and qualification.
- Define and propose optimal analog architectures balancing area, power, and performance.
- Translate specifications into electrical schematics for BMS and high-voltage circuits.
- Create and execute verification plans (PVT, statistical, ESD/EMC, post-layout simulations).
- Validate routing and layouts; collaborate with layout engineers to ensure implementation correctness.
- Participate in lab debug, product validation, and qualification activities up to release.
- Work cross-functionally with architects, verification, test, and other technical teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 10+ years of analog IC design experience.
- Proven domain experience in one or more: ADCs, switched-capacitor circuits, high-voltage power-management blocks, precision voltage references, physical-layer interfaces (e.g., CAN), high-side/low-side drivers.
- Experience with smart-power BiCMOS technologies.
- Proficiency with Cadence IC tool flow.
- Experience with requirement traceability and ISO 26262 processes.
